Haskell Indian Nations University morns the passing of…

As the new year begins Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas mourns the passing of the following:

1. Healthy meals in the cafeteria that reflected student needs
2. Dining hall hours that allow athletes to eat too
3. Opportunity for B.A. in Liberal Arts
4. Opportunity for B.S. in Community Health
5. A flexible course schedule that allowed for some classes to be taught outside of the 10-2 schedule we have always run
6. Ability of student elected government to actually function
7. Return of management that OUTSIDE evaluators characterized as “poison”( Haskell was suppose to lose these people NOT return them to top positions)!
8. ARCH(Accountability, Respect, Cooperation and Honesty)
9. Health Education and Wellness Programs
10. The one person holding Haskell’s education department together
11. Haskell’s president
12. Summer school plans
13. Accreditation by global indigenous consortium
14. The dismantling of all programs started by Dr.Warner
15. The loss of student customer service
16. All dialogue about distance-learning; The RED Center; or graduate programs Competent leadership

Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas run by The Bureau of Indian Education out of Washington D.C. will sorely miss the opportunities to create a world class Native American University.

Haskell has the Healthy Program which I think is great but what are they doing about the drinking problem. I have been told by a teacher there that Haskell is a social college and not a learning college. I have children that go there and have heard much about the drinking!
